2. Principle of data minimisation
This website is built so that as little personal data as possible is created. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services (such as Google Analytics) and loads no external content, fonts or scripts from third parties. Search also runs entirely in the browser.
3. Server log files
When you access the website, processing takes place on my own server in Germany.
- No access logs are kept. Which pages are visited by which visitors is not logged.
- Only in the event of a technical fault can an error log be written. It may contain the IP address, the time and the requested URL. This data is used solely to fix the fault, is not analysed and is not combined with any other data.
The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website).
4. Local browser storage (not a cookie)
The site offers a light/dark mode toggle. Your selection is stored exclusively
in the local browser storage (localStorage) of your device and never
leaves it. This is not a cookie and no data is transmitted to the server.
5. No transfer to third parties
No third-party services are embedded (no CDNs, no fonts, no embedded media). Accordingly, no data is transmitted to third parties when visiting this site, and there is no transfer to third countries.
6. Contact by email
If you email me at the address above, I process your email address, your name (if you provide it) and the content of the message in order to answer your request. Receiving and storing the mail takes place on my own mail server, which is also operated in Germany; no data is passed on to third parties.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the request aims at entering into or performing a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling contact requests). The data is deleted once it is no longer needed to handle the request and no statutory retention obligations apply.
7. Encryption
The website is served over HTTPS. The connection between your browser and the server is encrypted.
8. Rights of data subjects
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Contact the email address above to exercise these rights.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — usually the authority of your habitual residence or the authority responsible for the controller.
